What is QuickNailer?
QuickNailer is a shareware application program for previewing and organizing
thousands of images, movies, and fonts. QuickNailer can also create multi-part
contact-sheet images, media catalogs, web pages, or web page indexes with
linked web pages and printed pages.
How do I use QuickNailer?
QuickNailer's functionality is implemented through a collection of
windows found in the Window menu. Typically, the contents of the Animation
Window, Media Info Window, Slide Show, and Tile Window are derived from
the primarily selected thumbnail in the Thumbnails Window. Controlling
the behavior of these windows is managed through the Settings Window. Change
the displayed Settings Window sub-panel with the Settings menu. Use the
Export... menu command to create fast loading media catalogs,
image tables, web pages, tab-delimited data files, and contact sheets.
Where do I get the latest version of QuickNailer?
Choose About QuickNailer... from the Apple menu and then click
the www button or browse the author's web site <http://www.amug.org/~sbaber>.
If you don't have WWW access try <ftp.amug.org/pub/mirrors/info-mac/gst/>.
The latest beta versions will include many bug fixes, refinements, and
new features. Since I'm always working to improve QuickNailer's stability
(which is already better than the industry average), you might find the
latest beta version more stable than the last final release version.
How do I know which version I'm using?
Choose About QuickNailer... from the Apple menu or use Get
Info... from the Finder's File menu.
How do I enable PowerPC acceleration?
The unregistered version of QuickNailer runs in pokey old 68K emulation
mode. By registering QuickNailer with Kagi
Shareware you enable a world of difference in application performance.
Settings panels change in a snap, importing rips through folders, sorting
and searching vibrate your desk with high RPM, HTML exporting spews files
out like a fire hose at sea level, and window updates almost blister your
retinas. But more importantly, by registering you give me the resources
to make QN a better program for you. Otherwise I'll have to get a job writing
NT database stuff or start living on the street (I'm already a little too
close to that now).
